Winter Garden Smiles holds a presentation on Healthy Dental Tips for Kids
for National Children’s Dental Health Month
Orlando, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2013) – For National Children’s Dental Health month, Lissette R. Bernal, DDS and Nicole Carlo of Winter Garden Smile Family & Pediatric Dentistry gave a presentation to bright-eyed, young children this past week on healthy dental tips for kids.
The Winter Garden Smiles team spoke to a group of children and parents this past Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Starchild Academy located in Winter Garden.
During the presentation, pediatric dentist Dr. Bernal provided the audience with pediatric tips and tricks as well as some follow-along demonstrations on how to avoid an unhealthy mouth.
“Be sure to brush twice a day with a pea-size amount of toothpaste, once in the morning and once at night,” Dr. Bernal explained as she demonstrated how to properly brush, “for two minutes each time.”
February is known as National Children’s Dental Health month and the Winter Garden Smiles team collaborates with the American Dental Association to bring children’s dental health to light.
Dr. Bernal closed by reminding the audience to “Be sure to visit the dentist at least twice a year.”
The Winter Garden Smiles team will be giving another presentation on healthy dental tips for kids at Bright Horizon Early Education & Preschool on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 9:30 a.m.
