At your first exam, we’ll need to review your dental x-rays, and many patients already have them. If you’ve visited a dentist within the past 5 years, you may have panoramic, FMX, or bitewing x-rays, and may request that your previous dentist send them to our office.

Most dental insurance providers don’t cover FMX and panoramic x-rays each year. Typically only bitewing x-rays are covered once per year. Please e-mail the images to us directly: xray@wintergardensmiles.com

If you don’t have existing x-rays, no problem. We’ll complete a scan in the office during your visit.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to familiarize yourself with the office and complete any remaining forms. We’ll make your appointment a stress-free and comfortable experience. The first dental visit consists of a comprehensive dental/periodontal exam and a custom treatment plan (if needed).

During the exam, the doctor and hygienist review your medical/dental history and examine your mouth, teeth, and gums. If necessary, we discuss any problems we find or issues you’re experiencing. We’ll also answer all your questions.

Our goal is to fix your dental problems as soon as possible. We also prevent potential issues from getting bigger or more expensive to treat in the long run. The team creates a custom dental treatment plan for you based on your needs, goals, and budget.
